music is made using video game consoles, 8-bit computers and
toys as well as lovely home keyboards like casio mt-40, mt-65,
mt-70, and the charming analogic mt-400v.
neotericz
is an 8-bit music project from Buenos Aires, Argentina, leaded
by Ignat and inspired by electronic-mechanical-dance music
styles like retro techno, new wave, acid house, new beat,
industrial / ebm, experimental music, spacedisco and hiphouse.
Born
in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ignat started his passion for
electronic music in 1989 attracted by New Beat (techno style
from Belgium). He took part in many projects along the years:
mutus liber, finsternis, factor cero.
In 1999/2000 hooked by the music of Welle Erdball and Zombie
Nation he became interested in video game aesthetics. gradually
he went more and more into chip music.
Neotericz was grown inside an internet-linked global scene
knonwn as chiptune scene, lo-bit or 8-bit (music) culture.

Early
years:
He wrote his first (only rhythmic) sequences in a commodore
64 and a really vintage PC using sampled 8-bit waveforms.
In 1993 he founded with singer Ruben Darre Mutus Liber one
of the pioneer electronic music bands in the city. Within
that project they explored new combinations of Industrial
Music, ebm and new wave with the help of samplers and synthesizers.
After recording 2 albums the project loose activity in 1997.
Ignacio moved throgh many musical projects starving for a
new sound. Between 1999 and 2001, inspired by bands like Welle:Erdball
and Console (14 zero zero :) he starts making music with a
Gameboy , Gameboy Cam and nanoloop. While he was also part
of Factor Cero (an Industrial Music band). he introduced Game
Boy music and Sidstation sounds for the first time in the
Buenos Aires electronic music scene. Between 2001 and 2003
Neotericz release (online and then on a limited number of
CD-Rs the tracks of "Great Fun", it was the first Game Boy
music record of all South and Central America. In July 2005
Ignat and Roxana Rox (with the support of Jose Torres of 8-Bit
Collective) launched Gainlad a Netlabel (yeah this one :)
created for the Gameboy and Lo-Bit worldwide scene.
In
2006-2009 he keeps on playing live and developing new sounds
in the studio with the use of retro Gaming Consoles, Home
keyboards including synth capabilities & analogic filters,
also integrating some retro hardware synthesizers from the
80s and 90s.
